
Challenge Rules
Game Concept:

The game must focus on at least one STEM area (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math).

It can be a board game, card game, physical challenge game, or digital concept (if students choose to design one).

The game should teach, reinforce, or apply a STEM concept while being fun to play.
Team Requirements:

Minimum 2 players required to play.
-
Teams may have 1-4 creators.
Must be a team of middle schoolers or a team of high schoolers. Cannot be a mix of middle school and high school students.
Prototype:
-
Create a playable prototype using available materials (cardboard, paper, recycled items, or digital tools).

Include basic artwork or rough graphics that represent the game's design.
Video Submission:
Create a 2-5 minute video explaining and demonstrating the game in play.
The video should include:

Game title and creator names.

Explanation of rules and STEM connection.

Footage of at least one full round of play.
Submission Requirements:

Completed Entry Form (see below).

Link to Game Video (YouTube, Google Drive, etc.).

Photos or PDF of game instructions and visuals.
-
Optional: digital game assets or printable versions if applicable.
Judging Criteria:

Creativity & Innovation (25%) – Originality and design creativity.

STEM Integration (25%) – How effectively it connects to STEM concepts.

Playability (25%) - Clarity of rules and engagement factor.
-
Presentation (25%) - Quality of prototype and clarity of explanation.
